bostitch air compressor regulator pressure

Hi,

I just bought the bostitch CAP60PB-OF air compressor. when I turn it on, the compressor pressure works fine and goes up to 120-150psi. but the regulator guage (for the nail gun) remains at zero. I tried to move the regulator knob to increase the pressure but nothing happens, the gauge needle remains at zero.
I have the nail gun attached fine and it doesn't seem that there is an air leak.

is it just a factory default, or am I missing something?

Hello George.

It's a bit hard to say without seeing what the regulator knob is doing, but it's my guess that the regulator is somehow shut off.

Is there a pressure reading on the regulator gauge? This gauge indicates the pressure setting for the downstream flow of air. It the gauge reads zero, then for sure the unit is off.

Here's more info on regulators, for you.

Cheers,

Bill
