Bostich 6 gal compressor never filled with air.

We had a power failure, and when I went outside to my barn, the compressor was running. However, it never stopped, and it never filled with air.

Suggestions?

Never filled with air.

I suspect the power failure had nothing to do with the compressor running.

I take it you leave it powered up, and rely on the pressure switch to toggle the Bostitch on and off as the pressure fluctuates in the tank?

When it's running, does the pressure in the tank rise at all? If so, to what pressure, and does the pressure stay there while the compressor keeps running?

If so, the troubleshooting page on this site about compressors that run and don't build pressure will help I'm sure.

After reading it, add any more questions here if you have some.
