blows trip instant motor cant turn pump

trip blows cant turn pump took belt off motor starts and runs, turn pump by hand it has small amount of resitance not sure whats the proplem ? could it be the trip or pump seizing ? was working fine all day just stoped no air in tank any idears thanks

Ant, pull the line from the pump head, the line that runs down into the tank, with the tank empty, and power off.

Power up the air compressor. Any change?
