Blows the main, 30 amp house breaker when the switch is turned on, why?

Dayton 9CRZ1 motor

I'm not sure we've seen that previously, but good work finding it and thanks for reporting back.

figured it out

turned that the cheap offshore pressure switch
was shorted to ground when switched on. and it burned the points on the centrifical starter.
its been mocked up now and it runs ok.it just needs
to be reasembled properly

Short answer is it's drawing probably over 60 amps if it blows quickly.

Maybe there's a short between the motor and switch...
