Blown plastic line to pressure switch

The plastic line from the tank to the bottom of the pressure switch, or pop off valve, continually blows a hole in it. How do I stop this?

Robert, from what you have written I suspect that the line is getting close to a heat source on the compressor, weakening the plastic.

I would change the line to copper tubing available from the plumbing store.
