airbrush compressor - no air

i have air coming from my compressor when hose is attached, but when i connect hose to valve body no air comes through, this is even before i connect to airbrush

You say, air is coming from your compressor when the hose is attached.... where is the air coming from, out the end of the hose?

What is on the end of the hose at the compressor end and the free end?

How do you connect your air hose to your valve body, and what type of valve is this?

Your compressor should have a discharge coupler, which is likely CHECKED. (see site map for more details) When you plug a CONNECTOR into that coupler, air flows. At the other end of the hose is another checked COUPLER, and air won't flow out that end of the hose until something is inserted into the coupler to enable the air to flow.
