Air ride compressor Model # is 28020 will not Start

I have a Viair 280cc connected to a five gallon tank for my air rides. Model # is 28020. I had noticed that my front driver side air ride was working slowly and after parking it for five days with no movement, the compressor will not turn on to fill up the tanks. I checked the fuses and they are all fine. What should I do next? Thank you for any assistance in advance.

Best Regards,
Scooby Rojas

Hello, and thanks for writing in Scooby.

I'm curious is your compressor is on a RV vehicle?

This is a tough one, since I don't know anything about the compressors for the RV or vehicle industry.

The, the same principles apply.

The fuses may be good, but is power actually getting to the compressor?

In other words, what signals the compressor to start to pump air? If that device (and it will be a pressure switch of sorts) isn't working, then power is not getting to your compressor and it can't run.

So that's the first check.

If power is getting to the compressor, and the motor won't start, it were me, I'd give it a whack or two with a screw-driver handle (if for no other reason but frustration) before I took it off to get it checked. :-)

Cheers,

Bill
