air pressure taking long time to build after repair

Hi There , firstly great site you run ! Recently the head gasket blew so pressure would not exceed about 40psi so since replacing the gasket the pressure is taking a long time to get the the point where its ment to cut out which is about 115 , i have a 3hp with a 50L tank and its rated at about 11L/per/min , so what my question is if my valves arent broken is it posible they have lost there tension and could possibly need replacing ? is this possible . im defnetly getting air suction and there are no airleaks as ive gone over the fitting with soapy water .

regards george

George, it's clear that you've changed something on the compressor when you did the repair, if it's running slower now.

Things to check include correctly located and seated gaskets, yes, check the intake valves for proper seating and sealing, and also check the intake filter to be sure there is no buildup of crud which could slow the pressure buildup.

Cheers,

Bill
