my porter cable pancake air compressor has air leak in a small hole the size of a pin head in cylinder head.

Holey air!

The absence of a model number makes it hard to be specific, Dan.

I surmise that the hole is the unloader, that air leaks all the time when the compressor is running, and then for a very short time once the compressor stops.

If air continues to leak out of that hole when the compressor is not running, I suggest you drain the tank, pull, clean and / or replace the tank check valve.
