That's an interesting question, right up there with how long is a piece of string?

The direction you turn the adjusting knob on the air pressure regulator (I'm not sure what you mean by an air cut off switch - so I'm guessing you mean regulator ) is clockwise to increase the pressure and the reverse to reduce. But of course, that depends on whether the knob is up or down, doesn't it?
