air compressor won't stop filling with air - son pulled valve out?

my 3 year old son pulled a valve out of my tank when i was working with it now it won't stop running and can't figure out how to fix this problem......please give me some ideas it is a newer compresser and expensive.

It would be good if you had sent a picture of the "valve" that your son pulled.

As far as I can figure, I think he pulled out the ring that is the PRV compressor manual override.

Unplug the air compressor so it stops. Push the pin through which the ring is attached back in.

That should so it.
