Air compressor wont get over 110 lb

it was pumping up and popped then changed pitch. Now won't go over 110 and has to be turned off. its an upright 30 gal coleman

I must say, I've never heard a compressor "pop" before.

My first guess is that your compressor either has a damaged intake valve, or a gasket has "popped".
