Air compressor wont do anything

When I plug in my air compressor and nothing happens. I know the outlet works because when I hook up something else to it that works. The compressor is a Central Pneumatic 21 gallon 3 horse power and the model number is 94667. I purchased it from Harbor Freight. This is a brand new compressor.

Michael, good that you checked on the power supply. That's the first step.

Is the switch turned on, has the pressure switch a toggle on it that needs to be turned to "Run", is there air in the tank (bleed it down below cut in pressure so that the compressor can start)?

These are few things that you can check right away.

If all of these are OK, and the unit is brand new, take it back to the store for a replacement, and plug the replacement in at the store to make sure it works.
