air compressor runs but is not building any air pressure.

I purchased an inexpensive air compressure and use it to fill car, and bike tires. I have checked the oil and when plugged in and turned on the motor runs but is not building any air pressure. I could purchase another they sell for under $100.00 but would like to see if their's anything I can do to fix it.
