Air compressor. No air out of hose.

My Brad nailer was working just fine, I set it down, then it no longer worked. Pressure is normal on the gauge. I switched to my bigger compressor and all is well. I let all the air out of the tanks and let it fill to max again, still no air into the hose. I disconnected the hose and stuck a Philips screwdriver and depressed the internal ball in the coupling and still no air coming out. What do I do next?

It may be helpful to know what couplers you are using - see the mcmaster-carr website and search "hose", then look at the quick connect fittings.
