air actuators become irratic afer an hour or so
I have a bottling machine that is all pneumatic. After about an hour of operation the cylinders build up too much pressure and become irratic. I have the water separator/ regulator at the receiver tank set at 90 psi. I have install an individule regulator at the offending cylinder but the problem still exist after a period of time. i am thinking a build up of moisture is causing the problem?
Thanks,
Don

Hello don. Nice to hear from Port Vila, a place I'd like to be for six months or so every year!
I'm not sure what you mean by the cylinders building up too much pressure? If you have a regulator knocking the pressure down to the minimum reliable operating pressure for the cylinder, where is the pressure buildup, and how do you know that there is a pressure buildup?
Is it possible that the temperature of the cylinder is causing the piston to enlarge a bit and increase friction?
Are you lubricating?
You don't indicate cycle rate or actuator size. How about some more info as a comment here, so I can keep track of the thread?
Cheers,
Bill
