Advice when submitting identifying Older Compressor post

When asking to identify an older compressor, the main thing you should be taking pictures of is the pump itself. Especially helpful are the tags found on the pump.

The motor tags are not very helpful when identifying a compressor, and neither are the tank manufacturers tags. Only in a very rare while will a tank tag be of any help, as it can narrow down the date range in which the compressor was built, but motors are sourced from any number of suppliers, and often are not even the original ones the unit shipped with. Not trying to be preachy, just trying to help you guys out as much as possible.

Have a great day!
