Adjust safety valve on Model # CPF6025VP

Is there a way to adjust the safety valve? After I turn my compressor off and pull the metal ring on the safety valve, the valve shuts off with still considerable pressure in the tank, forcing me to stand there and hold the ring out manually to get it to the desired 20 PSI or less.

Thanks

Short answer... NO.

The PRV is a good way to dump air from the tank and also check that the PRV works. It is not designed to stay open by itself.

For an extended pressure reduction, open the tank drain. You should do so regularly anyway. Just remember to close it again!
