A question about air velocity and compressed air flow.

What is the maximum permissible velocity or air flow through different sizes of piping?

Is there any tables or ways to calculate the maximum permissible velocity or air flow through different sizes of piping?

I would like size my piping for my project.

Also, I have a question about The air flow from different outlet piping from an air receiver or pressure vessel.

I would like to know if there is any table showing the air flow at different outlet piping from an air receiver or pressure vessel?

Air flow through piping
by: Bill - Publisher

Hi Hanzong...

I've been hoping that one of my readers that's in air engineering might take a stab at this question.

All I can do at this point is refer you to this page on my site which refers to flow through pipes of a variety of sizes.

I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say "Is there any tables or ways to calculate the maximum permissible velocity or air flow through different sizes of piping? ". What do you mean by permissable...simply the maximum possible?

Cheers,

Bill
