919.167242 won't hold more than 35psi

Seems to run fine but won't hold any more than 35psi in the tank. I use it to blow out sprinklers and after the first time I did it, it never worked right again.

Is it worth fixing, and if I fix it, can I use it to blow out my sprinklers, or will I be causing it to break again? I'm sure running it for an hour straight made it pretty hot.

Craftsman compressor won't hold pressure
by: Bill

Hey Ron, when you say "won't hold any more than 35psi in the tank" do you mean that when the compressor is running, the tank pressure only reaches 35 PSI and won't go past that?

See the page under troubleshooting for things to check if this is the case.

See the pages about blowing out sprinklers to determine if your compressor will do the job for you.

Cost of fixing worth buying new? Depends on what's wrong and that's the first thing to find out to help you decide.
