by John Morton

Starts slow and sounds like it working really hard to reach cut off pressure. Occasional belt squealing.

Kobalt struggling too

Got a 60 gallon that will run and start building pressure then bogs down and squeals a little then picks back up and repeats this cycle until it eventually reaches the cut off pressure.

A new condition I expect, John?

If you empty the tank, does it start OK?

If it starts OK, but is struggling to reach cut out pressure, could be intake filter, intake valve, pressure valve, capacitor... many things.

See the troubleshooting page relating to this compressor issue for some tips.
