6 gal pancake Bostitch isn't compressing any air

6 gal Bostitch pancake comp. when switched on the motor revs up but isn't compressing any air?? Does this compressor use a belt to compress air? It was plugged into a overloaded outlet but was not running, when the tank pressure dropped it automatically tried to start, as a result, it failed to run normally, the motor kept running but by the motor sound it was not compressing any air.

Many do have a belt, not sure if yours does w/o model number.

Google your model and you should find at least a couple of sites that sell parts, and usually have a part diagram. if not much else...
