5F223A froze up

I have a twin tank model 5F223A that the compressor froze up on. There doesn't seem to be parts for it. I'm wondering if I can replace the compressor with a later model that will fit the frame?

Found problem

I had a chance to work on the air compressor today and discovered that the unloading valve was stuck, so the compressor was trying to start against tank pressure. I took the valve off and freed it up, and now the unit works fine.

Grainger still has the regulator for it.

It was apparently a C-H machine, so maybe if you post a few pix of it someone will be able to ID it.

Frozen 5F223A

Frozen as the motor hums but the pump won't turn...?

By later model that will fit the frame, are you saying adding a new pump?

Sure, any comparable pump will work if it has the same ratings such a pressure range, RPM etc.

What I cannot find are any specs on the 5F223A.

If you know the pump CFM and RPM, Google replacement compressor pump with those specs and I'll be you'll find some.

Might have to do some minor mods to get a new pump to fit.
