air flow

Another possible is some blockage after the regulator - the gauge at the regulator tells you this if it shows pressure, but you have low flow at your gun.

Not enough compressed air
by: Bill

When the blow gun runs out of air, what is the reading on the tank gauge?

In other words, by using the blow gun are you running the tank air pressure way down? If so, that could account for it.

I suspect, however, that it's your regulator that is blocking flow. When you use the blow gun it quickly empties the air in the line, the regulator is not allowing sufficient flow through, and your blow gun runs out of air.

If the tank pressure stays high while the air gun flow is low, it were my compressor, I'd fix or replace the regulator.
