20 gal 1.8hp oilless standup bogging down

by David

I have a kobalt 20gal 1.8hp oilless stand up compressor, running great for a couple years and today it kicked on and ran fine for a minute or two, then the rpm's slowed gradually way down. I kicked it off before it completely stopped for fear of more damage. Please help. Do these have air filters? If it's seizing, are there parts available, and how do I fix it. Anything will help. Thanks

A couple of pages linked from the troubleshooting pages on this site will help, I suspect David.

Go to the troubleshooting page, scroll down to the page about compressors bogging down, and have a look.

Comment here with what you found, if you would.
