I have been given this compressor, but I don't know much about it. Does the pump look original?

Manufacturer: American IMC, Inc.
Model Number: ACBB601H
Date of manufacture:o9/28/84
Motor: 5HP Westinghouse, 23oV, single phase
Pump: The pump looks older than the rest of the setup. Is it original?

I have not received this yet. Current owner says it's max pressure is about 130 psi.

Other questions: weight of unit? value? Is this a good unit for a hobby home auto shop?

It's an old Quincy pump put on a new IMC tank. IMC makes lots of light duty stuff using aluminum pumps that aren't terribly durable. Not surprised the tank outlived the compressor. I doubt that pump is built anywhere near 5HP specifications. If you put on pulleys to get it to about 900rpm, you will get about as much air out if it as it is designed for. 130psi max is about right for a single stage compressor.

What would the specs of this pump be with a 5hp motor?
