1126 not stopping

So have the 1126. Turned it on and it didn't stop building pressure- my question is does it have a point where it's suppose to stop? And is there a way to adjust it or is my only option replacing the switch? It read 105-110, the bronze relief valve let out the air. It's a shame. It's still in great shape

Yup, it's the pressure switch that is supposed to turn the compressor off when the tank pressure reaches the cut out pressure level.

If your compressor runs past the normal cut out pressure, and ultimately the PRV lets go, then yes, you'll most likely have to replace the pressure switch.

The troubleshooting pages on this site will provide more info if you wish.
