(Kahului. Maui, Hi)

I am looking for a replacement motor assembly.

None avaible at sears parts.com.

They tell me its no longer available.

Is there something out there which can be swapped?

While I hate this disposable society, that new air compressors are so cheap (just saw a 1.5 HP Craftsfman for $99 on line) I can't think that you'll be able to buy a motor assembly for your older unit for less than that, even if you could find one.

Some of the components on your existiing air compressor are still good.

If this were me I'd buy another compressor with similar components, and then use it, saving the old for cannibalization as parts from it were needed for the new, should that come to pass.

At least then you aren't throwing the whole older compressor away.

Cheers,

Bill

bad motor?

When you say "motor assembly" - What is happening?

You might not actually need a motor, but rather just a capacitor or something.

If you are sure, then what Bill said.
