5f562 model Pressure Switch

by Nick
(Maine)

I have an older speedaire compressor, model 5f562. I was wondering if I needed a genuine speedaire pressure switch, or if i could go with one I found on Northern Hydraulic website? Thanks!

See the page linked from the site map about pressure switches. If the switch has the same voltage range, the same cut in cut out settings (or close - or adjustable), and the new one interfaces with the unloader, then you can use any brand you wish.

Cheers,

Bill

3JR75 overheats and kicks the breaker off?

by Ton Topf
(Riverside Mo)

Speedaire # 3JR75 Compressor overheats and kicks the breaker off. Belt tension and oil level ok both ok.
_____________
Not much info to go on, Ton, nor does Grainger show this compressor as current.

I cannot find any specs.

Is the compressor building any pressure before it kicks out?

If the power supply is 120 volts, are you using an extension cord, and, is there anything else on the same circuit pulling power at the same time the compressor is trying to run?

Check out the troubleshooting section for additional tips.
