94667 - Broke Pressure switch - need a new one

by David
(Jax , Fl.)

Where can I buy a pressure Switch for central pneumatic 94667 compressor or what switch will work on this compressor the switch is a fenwi FW-10

______________
David, any compressor pressure switch that has similar, or adjustable cut in and cut out pressure settings, and interacts with your unloader valve will work.

You need not necessarily replace the switch with another from Central Pneumatic.

I have to think that your local Harbor Freight outlet would be able to supply a pressure switch, since Central Pneumatic is their brand.

Cheers,

Bill

Central pneumatic model 94667 i need the oil fill caps?

by John Wilmoth
(tazewell tn.)

i have 5 air compressers they are central pneumatic model 94667 i need the oil fill caps for the compressor do you have them if so could you send me link to parts page where i can go to order them. or send me some infoabout them. now the caps i am needing are the ones where you unscrew to put oil in the compressor they are a pressure cap of some sort they bleed off pressure from compressure crank case they pp stamped on top of them thanks will be waiting to hear from you where can i find them
_______________
Hi John...

Am I correct in thinking that what you are referring to is the Breather Valve? The Central Pneumatic 94667 compressor has a breather valve, or vented oil fill cap, as do many others of the DIY air compressor types.

And yes, you are right, Harbor Freight does not supply this part any more, nor can I find any after market sources.

What I would do is visit my local Harbor Freight store, take a close look at the compressors on display there, see if you can find the fill cap on a current model that might fit yours, talk to the nice people in the air compressor department and ask where you can buy the vent cap.

Buy or borrow one that you think is close, take it home, try it, and if it works, ask them where you can get more.

Or, ask them where they get their air compressors fixed under warranty, and talk to those folks.

John, you are caught in the trap of having an out of stock, low cost, no - we don't stock parts, air compressor. Sorry about that.

Bill

94467 compressor wont shut off

by Andy
(Atlanta, GA)

Love the compressor, it is really all I need. I tinker with woodworking. but since last fall, the compressor wont shut off on its own. i have to manually shut it down when the emergency valve goes off, scaring me half to death. I installed a new regulator bougth from HFT, but it still wont shut down.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

Andy, if the compressor runs to the point where the pressure bypasses the normal cut out, and runs until the pressure relief valve lets go, then it's almost always that the Pressure Switch has failed.

The pressure switch is supposed to cut the power supply to the motor when the pressure in the tank reaches the cut out set point.

This has nothing to do with the regulator on the line from the tank to the discharge coupler.

The pressure switch has the power line coming into it from the wall socket, and then lines from the pressure switch are connected to the motor circuit.

Your compressor is dangerous. It were mine, I would not use it again until I got the pressure switch working properly.

The plastic fan blade is history. i removed it since it broke at the center. there is a square one inch nut still on the shaft.
I need to know what replacement plastic fan blade will work. where to get and part number to use. As far as the large nut on the motor shaft my question is it threaded on or just frozen on there making it difficult to remove. any ideas to make this removal job easier. i have tried hammer but it doesn't budge.
saw this on you tube as possible replacment?? campbell hausfeld fan kit HL026500AV
thanks

motor shaft for fan
by: coonie

well i took the grinder and cut the piece off. Now i have a 1/2 inch shaft as in picture. Now just need to find location to purchase a fan blade that will attach and fit. this model Item #67847 has the fan blade available. any one know if ti will fit on the 94667. If not is there an aftermarket 6inch fan that would work as substitute. oops can't find place to up load new pic.

As far as I'm concerned if you can find any fan that fits, do it. Don't worry about the brand. Maybe an auto parts store could help you out?

Sorry, you can only upload photos on the original post. A drawback of the system, for sure.

Feel free to start a new topic, provide complete details and photos if you wish.
